Description:

The canopy in the Amazon is the thickest and most abundant level of the forest, home to 50% of all plant species according to some estimations. The canopy also contains a wide variety of animals due to abundant food sources that the canopy provides. There are monkeys, amphibians, birds, insects, etc. Insect species alone are estimated in the millions. In effect, the Amazon canopy in one of the last biological frontiers in the world where the majority of jungle life occurs.
