Yaguarcocha Lagoon
Description:
Yahuarcocha Lagoon means "Blood Lake" and it is said to originate from an indigenous battle that stained its waters with blood. The lagoon features 257 hectares, it is 8 meters deep and it is about twelve thousand years old. It is surrounded by natural and beautiful viewpoints. The motorsport circuit “Autodromo Internacional José Tobar” is also located here and it hosts several car racing events.
