Also known as Independence Square, this place can be considered the center of the city and starting point to discover the Historical Center of Quito. In the middle of this square you’ll find the Monument to the Independence and in its surroundings the main powers of the State -represented by the Presidential Palace, the City hall, the Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace.
