Montecristi Church
Description:
The Basilica was built between 1959 and 1962. The steps leading to it are 10 meters (33 feet) high. On the outside, it features two towers of Roman style. The image of the Monserrat Virgin that resides here was originally intended to be a gift to the city of Lima. However, during the trip it was changed for the image of the Virgin of Santa Rosa, and designated for Montecristi.
