Train Station, Riobamba
Description:
This station was built with the purpose of joining the highlands with the coast. The route Riobamaba – Sibambe – Alausi is one of the masterpieces of railway engineering, which permits the train to ascend a slope that goes from 1,800 meters (5,906 feet) to 2,600 meters (8,530 feet) elevation. This is known as the Devil’s Nose.
