Quichua Community

Description:

Hundreds of indigenous communities inhabit the amazonian region of Ecuador, forming over 25 "micro nations" that include living cultures such as the Siona, Secoya, Cofán, Shuar, Záparo, Huaorani, Aschuar, and the Quichua. Tourists can visit a variety of sites that are administered by the communities. These visits provide an important source of income for investments in health, education, and community operations.
